"Matsuda Orchard" (松田農園, Matsuda Noen) is a farm located in Nayu Town, Japan, known for producing premium persimmons with high sugar content, which are often sold as fresh fruit and used to make dried persimmons (hoshigaki). The persimmons from Matsuda Orchard are noted for having a high average sugar content (around 13°C Brix).
Currently owned by the 36th generation of the same family, this farm has been cultivating persimmons for over 1,000 years, dating back to the Shogunate era.
